Scott brings more than 30 years of executive leadership experience across pharmaceutical commercialization, patient services, market access, commercial technology, data & analytics, and healthcare services. Throughout his career, he has successfully led businesses through turnaround, rapid growth, mergers and acquisitions, large-scale technology transformations, and private equity exits.
Most recently, Scott served as Chief Executive Officer of Mercalis, a leading private equity-backed pharmaceutical commercialization platform with more than 2,100+ employees, $350+ million in annual revenue, and $100+ million of EBITDA. During his tenure, he led a multi-year business transformation that more than doubled EBITDA, completed eight strategic acquisitions, modernized the company's technology platform, and successfully led the sale of the business in a transaction valued at approximately $1.5 billion, generating a 4.5x return for investors.
Today, Scott advises private equity firms throughout the investment lifecycle—from investment thesis development and commercial due diligence through value creation planning and exit preparation. He also partners with pharmaceutical manufacturers and commercialization service providers to develop growth strategies, optimize commercial operations, evaluate acquisition opportunities, and execute business transformation initiatives.
Scott's unique perspective combines the strategic mindset of an investor with the practical experience of an operator. Having spent decades leading complex organizations and serving as a trusted partner to private equity sponsors, Boards of Directors, and executive leadership teams, he understands how to identify value drivers, mitigate investment risk, and translate strategy into measurable business results.
Scott earned an MBA from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from Iowa State University.
